Margaret has been a churchwarden at St John the Baptist for some years. She has always loved cooking and over a period of time has developed her skills to transform a variety of fruit into delicious jams and preserves. Margaret has enjoyed selling her produce in order to raise money for the church and, this year she has raised a record £300 from the proceeds of her sales. She thanks everyone who has made this such a success.
The preserve making calendar for Margaret begins in earnest in January with oranges for marmalade. She continues throughout the year, using seasonal soft fruits to fill jars of jam, jellies and chutney - often bought to give as a Christmas gift.
