Church Garden Party

The villagers of Manton gathered together on the evening of Sunday July 15th for the annual Church Garden Party - and to celebrate the end of the football!!

The Garden Party took place in the beautiful gardens of Robin and Kate Brookes at Manton House.

This was an opportunity to thank all those who help to support the church through cleaning, arranging flowers, playing the organ, locking and unlocking the door and tending the garden. We are all extremely grateful to everyone for their input.

Everyone had a very good time - and raised £130 for Church Funds.

Farewell to Sheila

A Farewell Tea was organised by the PCC for Sheila Fowler of Manton who is leaving the village to live nearer to her family in West Bridgford, Nottingham. Sheila has organised the distribution of the Parish Magazines until a couple of months ago, hosted many Coffee Mornings, supported all village events with enthusiasm, always hosted the post Carol Singing Christmas Party and served on both the PCC and the Village Hall Committee over the years. A true village legend. She will be missed by us all!
